East Midlands AirportNewest Review: ... but there are local rail links and the airport can be reached from Loughborough, Derby and Nottingham railway stations, depending on where in the country you are travelling from. All the above stations have a transfer bus to the airport. The airport has several car parks - 1 short stay for very short trips as well as pick up and drop off and 6 long term car parks. 4 of these are within ... more |

East Midlands Airport is a regional airport located in Castle Donington in Derbyshire. There are flights available to many European destinations, as well as Egypt, USA (Florida) and the Caribbean with charter airlines. I have flown from this airport many times and it is my favourite airport mainly due to it's location, ease of access and relaxed atmosphere. It is easily accessed by car from the M1 (Junction 23 and 23A) or the A50 which is the road I use when travelling from Staffordshire. I live around 50 miles from the airport but the A50 is a relatively quiet road so it's a nice 40 minute drive and I can start my holiday. I find it's easiest ... Read the complete review

East Midlands Airport is somewhere I have used on a few occassions now as I have family in the area and so flying in from Glasgow airport offers me a nice quick journey to see them for a few days. The airport offers good access and plenty of parking including 20 minutes free parking which is something I have seen other airports not offer. The airline I use to fly in and out of Easy Midlands has been BMI Baby but I have also seen loads of Easyjet check in areas when down there and I have always been impressed with the simple layout and clearly displayed information making the experience a lot simpler, quicker and less stressful than in other airports within the ... East Midlands airport is the airport that I have used most when going on holiday so I guess this is going to be my most accurate airport review! East Midlands airport is a medium sized airport located in Castle Donnington, just off the A453 and M1 it has several carriers operating from there such as Ryanair, EasyJet (though not for much longer), BMI baby, Thompson e.t.c. Due to it's location and close proximity to good roads I have always found it relatively quick to get to, there has occasionally been delays near the coal power plant near Radcliffe, but that isn't really the airport's fault. If you are arriving by car and intend to park there ... Read the complete review

East Midlands is a very good airport which operates a good variety of destinations both near and far. I am very happy to have this airport as my local as it has everything an airport needs. The staff at the airport are very kind and help alot. In both departures and arrivals, East Midlands has a brilliant variety and amount of shops, restaurants and food outlets and nothing from these are too badly priced. Another good thing about East Midlands is that it's very easy to find your way around and it never gets too crowded. Queuing times are excellent, infact the last two times I've flown from here me and my family have got straight to a scanner without any queue at all. So ... Read the complete review

East Midlands Airport is probably my closest airport and I have used it many times. When I'm searching for a holiday it is usually my first choice airport due to its location and also its size. It is not a big airport by any means, but it's not a bad size for a local airport - I have flown from Humberside Airport before - now that's a small airport!! East Midlands has now gone like most UK airports, in that there is very little to do before you go through security, there is a coffee shop and that's about it, there are a few more shops in the arrivals hall, for people picking up essentials once they've landed but this is very limited. All this is designed so ... Read the complete review
