East Midlands airport is one that me and my husband use everytime we go away. It takes approx 45 minutes for us to get there and is a very straight forward airport. You get dropped off at the doors that say departure and as soon as you walk in the checking in desks are straight in front of you, you can not miss them!

After you have checked in and you are suitcase free you head to the right towards the duty free where you will get your tickets checked then your free to shop until your hearts content.

There are lots of boards with the departing times on and also call outs so that there's no reason that you should miss your plane.

The gates are really easy to find as they are opposite the shops and they also have places you can grab a quick snack including KFC, pizza hut. Also they have a few bars if you need a shot of something if your afraid of flying to calm you down.

This really is a nice and relaxed airport that I would recommend to anyone wanting a chilled out start to there holiday.

Also I have never experienced any delays at all with this airport.
