Yes, this airport is French, German and Swiss ... This can cause confusion when you are picking someone up as you really need to know which exit to take. Many times I have tried to pick up customers from the French side only to find they have come out on the Swiss side. The airport is really easy to access from the French side, it is located on the main Alsace north-south motorway. Beware of carpark charges, select well as some of the carparks can be very pricey. The Euro Airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is a crazy airport which covers two countries (France) and and connects to a 3rd (Germany) as well, although the whole airport is actually on French territory, the airport is split in two with a little border in the middle of the airport (this will be abolished in a few days), it was really quite surreal! I to and fro'd across the border a few times in order to get food from the French side as it was cheaper. For some reason I thought that my flight was leaving from the Basel section because that is what it said on my ticket but it seems like I could have left from the Mulhouse/Freiburg section too.
