Exeter International Airport (EXT)Newest Review: ... Exeter, be aware that it is very small and there is not much to do in the duty free lounge, however, it is able to cope with the passengers currently using it. There are a variety of car parking facilities. The airport is also served by public transport. There is a bus from Exeter st Davids station. Taxis and hire car facilities are also available. There are only a few check in desks, so ... more |

Exeter airport is a very small airport, particularly if you are used to going to Gatwick or Heathrow. It serves a wide variety of destinations, including Mexico and Barbados, but most of its destinations are in Europe or the Mediterranean Region. There are also flights to a number of UK airports. Exeter International Airport is my preferable airport to fly from, but that is solely to do with the fact that it's a 10 - 15 minute drive from my house. Recently revamped, Exeter airport is quite a relatively small airport situated around 5 miles outside of Exeter towards Clyst Honiton. Car Parking The airport has long stay and short stay parking with 4 car parks on site, the short stay car park car park 1, is a very short walk (50 yards) from the departure entrance and you can park there for free for 15 minutes, you do need to use this car park even for dropping off or collecting people as there are no waiting bays. To use this ... Read the complete review

We had a two week holiday to Lanzarote in June and were flying from Exeter. We live in Southampton so the distance wasn't too bad and the holiday was cheap so why not! I have to say Exeter was one of the easiest airports and we would definitely fly from there again. We booked our airport parking on line in advance and paid £60 for 2 weeks of parking in car park 3. When we left the car there we were a bit worried because security isn't that great but the car was in once piece when we came back. We arrived at 4.45am for a 7.15am flight. The airport was completely dead, we went straight to the check in desk and booked in straight away. ... Read the complete review

Exeter airport is my favourite airport to travel from. OK, I admit this is mainly because it is the closest to my house! But also, being small, everything is easier. Staff are always friendly and helpful and there are no huge distances to walk between check in, departures and the gate. The duty free shopping area is fairly small, but even so, as a proprtion of the size of the rest of the departure area, it takes up a fair bit! They have been doing some improvements to the bar/cafe area which are much better than the bar that was there before. There is an area where you can watch T.V, although this is not separate from the rest of the lounge. W.H. Smith is ... Read the complete review

having lived in devon all my life i have flown from exeter on several occasions, it is approximately 6 miles outside of th ecity of exeter and is ver easily accesible from the m5 and a30, a39. there is ample parking in the 4 car parks, car parks 1 and 2 are short stay and intended more for 'dropping off' and collecting or inland flights. car park 3 is spprox 200 yards away and is long stay with car park 4 being approx 1/4 mile away but there is a shuttle bus provided. the airport itself is small but well maintained and very well organised. the staff are always ready to help with any questions and are equally friendly. there is ...
