Glasgow Internation Airport is an airport that I have always used and have taken for advantage but recently I had my wife's family flying up and I was to go and meet them at Glasgow airport (I don't drive). I had to get transport from Glasgow city centre and decided to pay £5 for the First bus open return to the airport (this ticket provides travel to and from from the airport as well as unlimited travel on the greater Glasgow First bus routes which was an amazing deal for my wife's family). The airport itself has recently undergone a major upgrade and is in the process of having more shops put in place but the airport now has good food facilities, bars which are nice to sit in and not too overpriced, a security section which is very thorough but also quick to get through and good airport facilities (toilets are always available, trolleys are always able to be obtained, taxis are always waiting just outside the door, etc). I have travelled through quite a few UK airports and always find the Glasgow experience a very quick and easy one which means less stress which is ultimately what I want from any airport.
