Shanghai Hongqiao Airport (IATA: SHA, ICAO: ZSSS) (Simplified Chinese: 上海虹桥机场, Traditional Chinese: 上海虹橋機場, Pinyin: Shànghǎi Hóngqiáo Jīcháng, Translation: Rainbow Bridge Airport) is one of the two airports in Shanghai, People's Republic of China. The airport is in the western part of a still relatively urban area of Shanghai. Before the construction of Shanghai Pudong International Airport in 1999, Hongqiao Airport served as Shanghai's main international airport. Now the airport mostly serves domestic flights. One taxi rank service the airport from the arrivals level. A bus stop provides various services to other parts of the city. As of October 2003, one minibus route terminates at Jing An Temple station, and costs four-and-a-half renminbi.
