There is major renovation going on at IAH (Intercontinental Airport- Houston) now. Here are some more useful info, for those who will be arriving at IAH from abraod.. 1. Customs/ Immigration lines are smaller as not many international flights arrive here (compared to LAX, Chicago or New York). Apart from Continental (who has the hub here), only some central american airlines and KLM, BA, AF and Lufthansa serve IAH. 2. There is a city bus service from the Airport to the city center. Do you want to make the most of your visit to Houston International Airport (IAH for short)? It is a shiny new airport with lots of clean, gleaming chrome. * It's immigration queues are much better than Los Angeles or New York so not a bad place to arrive in the US. (Though the officials manage the cold unfriendliness that seems to be mandatory to public servants in the US -- a great contrast to the sometimes overwheleming warm service you get from commercial employees). * As an international arrival you will get free baggage trolleys.
