Advantages: Light, lots of space, very clean

Disadvantages: Annoying tannoy

I spent a total of 11 hours (on two different occasions) in KUL airport over December and January and on both times found it to be a fantastic airport. It was modern, light and airy. There was lots of space to sit around - you didn't feel as if you were surrounded by people. It was also extremely clean. Everytime I went into a bathroom it was being cleaned. The staff in the airport were very helpful and helped us find our way to the duty free area which contained a large variety of different shops including the usual duty free items, sports wear, designer items, and a burger king and starbucks! The only thing that I didn't like about this airport was the 'bongs' that came over the speakers before an announcement was being made. This happened very often and quickly became irritating.

As I didn't leave the airport I can't comment on it's surroundings but this was definately a pleasant airport to spend 11 hours in!

Summary: Would be perfect if it wasn't for the tannoy!
