Advantages: Lots of check in booths, good choice of shops and restaurants

Disadvantages: Can get very busy!

London Gatwick Airport is a large airport and it is hard to get your head around the fact that this is only the second largest airport in the UK....!My tip is to find out which terminal you are wanting as there are two terminals at Gatwick and if you go to the wrong one you have quite a journey to the other. There are plenty of check in desks and finding the airline you are flying with is quite easy as there is information everywhere. Shops and food terminals are a plenty and you can keep yourself occupied if you have time before going through to departures. If you are wanting a meal I would probably get there an hour or so early and go for a meal before you go through to departures as there is much more choice. There are plenty of people around to help you at Gatwick and it is my airport of choice to fly from.

Summary: A large airport which is easy to navigate once you get used to it.
