Advantages: Friendly staff and great viewing facilities

Disadvantages: Intimidating police

I have used London Gatwick quite a lot over the past few years. It is not the closest airport to me but I have found that it is the best. Access to the airport is fantastic. The only problem that I have with the airport is that often when I go there, there always seems to be policemen with guns all the time which I have found intimidating but just think of them being there for your security. I have often been to the airport to plane spot and on top of the South terminal there is a fantastic spectators facility with shop and cafe and outdoor area for watching the planes and these facilities are excellent. All the facilities inside the airport are very good and there is always friendly staff on hand for anything. It does get very busy especially in the summer time when everyone is going on their holidays but that is what is to be expected from every airport. There are helpful signs everywhere so you very rarely lose your way. Everything that you need is there. It is a holidaymakers dream airport. But always watch your luggage because many times when I have been there, people have gone to the police because their luggage has been stolen.
