Premium Review London Heathrow Airport (LHR): Heathrow - not the worst airport in the world...! (238 words)

Being an avid traveller, I frequently use Heathrow airport. I've had very mixed experiences of the place, from the good to the downright insane. Heathrow airport is situated about 15 miles west of London and can be accessed in a variety of ways. There is a multi storey carpark, which is pretty expensive, even for short stays, or you can just use the drop off area. Then there is the rail-air link, a bus which travels very frequently from Reading to the airport, costing £14 single or £22 open return when booked online, or £45 for a family. London Heathrow is the busiest airport in Britain and is also one of the busiest in the world. This airport should not just be known for its size but also for it's quality. I would really like to see this airport expand as it would help it stay being one of the biggest and busiest airports in the world. The last time I flew from Heathrow was different to the other times I've flown from there. That is because it was from the new terminal 5 and I must say it was one of the best airport terminals I have ever been in and I have been in alot of them in my time. To me it doesn't matter which terminal you fly from at Heathrow because all of them are great. I would like them to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review London Heathrow Airport (LHR): The UKs Principle Airport. (711 words)

Heathrow Airport is the busiest International Airport in the world and is also the principle airport serving the city of London, and the United Kingdom. It is famous for it's huge size, volume of passengers and vast number of potential destinations, and I figured that some people who have never passed through this establishment may be keen to hear from passengers who have. I have passed through Heathrow many a time, although I have to admit that pretty much all of my experience with the place is with terminal 3. Most recently, I flew to Los Angeles at the beginning of the month on Virgin Atlantic from Terminal 3. Heathrow is fairly easy to get to, either by ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review London Heathrow Airport (LHR): Airport of contrasts (188 words)
by - written on 19/06/09 (Useful, 18 readings)

LHR is an easy target for criticism and it gets its fair share but it is an airport of contrast. Terminal 3 dirty overcrowded cramped chaos. I have used it several times for flights to Austria. Check in is at 5am for a 6am flight and guess what nothing is open you cannot get a drink for love nor money. When you return What a welcome to our country total chaos with a queue stretching into the distance as you reach passport control I swear I will never pass through T3 again I will go via Schipol or Paris Terminal 5 complete contrast why cannot all travel be like this. everything flowed like clockwork - ok check in was a bit of a pain but apart ...  Read the complete review
