Advantages: Quick, easy, places to eat including Starbucks, Bagel Hut & more

Disadvantages: busy at times, lack of shops

This is my local airport and I use it all the time. It is an international airport but most flights operate to destinations around Europe. This is the home of easyJet - a low cost airline, but many other airlines run from here too.

When you enter the airport, there is an arcade section that you walk through towards the check-in desks. There is a Marks & Spencers Simply Food for a snack and a few other cafes and shops too. The check-in hall is pretty big as it is just one long hall. Down to the far end, you take the escalator up towards security. There is normally a little queue, but for early flights, the chances of a queue are minimized.

The security is quick and painless. Luton has rather tight security for a small airport, but they should do. Normally, I have checked in and been through security within half an hour of entering the airport, which is not bad. Once past passport control and security, you head into the terminal.

There are a few places to eat as well as Duty Free, Dixons, Boots, WHSmith, Sunglasses Hut and more shops. The airport terminal is quite small and can be busy at times. There are screens located around to tell you flight information. There are also announcements, so you know when to go to the gate for your flight. There are clear signs everywhere directing you towards gates and toilets and all the rest. Overall, it is a pretty good airport but can be busy at times and could do with some more shops.

Thanks for reading,

Carbon

Summary: A good little airport where you will be checking out the limited shops in no time
