Brilliant since the new airport was opened (London Luton Airport (LTN))

Advantages: clean, spacious, shops!!

Disadvantages: parking area can stretch out quite far away from the airport but there is a regular free bus to take you form the car park to the airport.

I remember the old London Luton Airport, the crowed, congested airport we all came to grow to love so well- not. That airport was a complete and utter disaster, whenever i went i into it you were swamped by people. The check-in, departure and arrivals are were all together practicaly which was really really silly because it became too congested. Whats more there was only really one door whcih everyone could use and there was practicaly no seating are. Thank God they decided to build a new airport for luton about 100metres from the old and close the old one down.

The new one is so much better, it is spacious, the check-in is in one area the departure in another area and the arrivals in another, separated by shops in the middle which is perfect for last minute shops. Luton airport is only really for easyjet planes now which is good because you don't have to recieve tickets now, you only have to have a refference number and that contains your tickets, even if you forget your reference number all you have to say is your name, adress and date of birth. - This does not mean however that security is slack as it is not. Luton is one of the safest airports that i know, with so many checks.

The only problem is that they call it London Luton Airport even though that it is nearly 30miles outside of Lonodon.

Luton is a really clean airport and is maintained well.

Once you are though all of the security checks there is a duty free shopping are which is absolutely brilliant if you have time to be going around them. And finally when you get to your gate there is another security check before you are allowed into the gate area and then a final security check when you leave the departure area.

You do however have to get a bus from the departure area to the bus which is short but is also a hassle. - better than walking to the aircraft howerver.

London Luton is certainly a really good, high standard airport and i would
reccomend it to absolutely anyone.

Summary:
