London Luton is a horrible airport. I'm surprised it's not famous for it's major hold ups. They always have problems with car parking. The staff at the airport are very unhelpful. Information desks always seem to be empty and in the unlikely event of a member of staff going to an information desk, they always seem to be puzzled as to why peope are ... Read the complete review

Luton Airport is a small but modern airport and it has many shops despite the small sized terminal. You can mainly get easyjet flights from Luton and literally 80% of the check-in desks are for easyjet. The check-in hall is pretty large and long with all the check-in desks. The queues sometimes get very large though in peak-season so you may have ... Read the complete review

As small airports go, Luton Airport is a pleasant enough experience. Neat and smart, pretty clean, a good range of shops in the departure lounge and a straightforward experience through on our way on holiday. In terms of the overall experience, Luton gets a thumbs up. What really bugged me however, and would makes you think twice about ... Read the complete review

I have just returned froma trip abroad and I fly from Luton Airport. Luton is most certainly not my ;local airport, in fact I had to drive 100 miles to get there but it offered the best deal in terms of flights and so I flew from there. I was very impressed with the airport. It's fairly small in comparison to it's neighbours Gatwick and ... Read the complete review

As this is our nearest airport we use the airport at least twice a year. It has certainly changed significantly over the past 5 years. The airport has expanded significantly, however not all changes have been for the good. I cannot comment on the quality or price of parking as we always get a lift down there and get picked up. If this ... Read the complete review

Last weekend I flew to Amsterdam and I had the pleasure of flying out of Luton Airport, and I call it a pleasure because it really was!! If you want a relatively quiet airport with no queues, without the throngs of passengers you find at Heathrow/Gatwick, a few shops/restaurants and a convenient baggage reclaim and customs section then Luton ... I fly very often from Luton, which I find very user friendly and well connected to central London. Normally I get there from Farringdon train station, from where trains depart every 15 - 20 minutes on average, at least during they day. Once I arrive at luton airport parkaway train station, I need topay an extra Pound on top of the ... Read the complete review

Luton Airport gets a "tries hard " rating but is truly a mess! There are some positive improvements being made but the long queues at security with long tapes separating a long snake of a queue is appaling! The same happens at immigration on return. The builings are effectively sheds and look utilitarian but that is acceptable if wll planned but the long walk to the plane and stairs cannot be described as easy access for the disabled!
The car parking is poorly signed and the road acces from the M1 is never quite finished.
This airport gets a low star rating as it is well below the much higher standards now being achieved by other European Airports.

Whenever I can choose a flight from Easyjet from Luton., I select it because I work within walking distance of Farringdon Tube Station. I take the train to Luton from Farringdon. It normally takes around 40 minutes and there are frequent trains. If u go along the same route, make sure you take a train which stops at Luton ... Read the complete review

This is my local airport and I use it all the time. It is an international airport but most flights operate to destinations around Europe. This is the home of easyJet - a low cost airline, but many other airlines run from here too. When you enter the airport, there is an arcade section that you walk through towards the check-in desks. ... Read the complete review

I do not like Luton airport. Partly this is due to the fact that living and working in the City, both City airport, and even Stansted, which I do not like too much either, are closer and more convenient. The main reason why I do not like Luton is that it takes ages to get there and I need to take a tube to Kings Cross, then the train to ... Read the complete review

Luton airport is my local airport, which I use all the time flying to and from Spain to visit my parents out there. It is an excellent airport with everything you need and it is very quick and easy. The airport is very small compared to other ones around London, however it does have one large runway and is an international airport, so can operate ... Read the complete review

I remember the old London Luton Airport, the crowed, congested airport we all came to grow to love so well- not. That airport was a complete and utter disaster, whenever i went i into it you were swamped by people. The check-in, departure and arrivals are were all together practicaly which was really really silly because it became too congested. ... Read the complete review

All things considered generally, Luton Airport is pretty much fit for purpose. It's got good transport links, rail, coach and near a motorway - it can't be held responsible that the motorway is the M1 and therefore the average travelling time getting there is usually longer than the flight itself. The actual airport is compact and easy ... Read the complete review

When I was young I used to go to Luton Airport as a “plane spotter”, but that was about 35 years ago. At that time the facilities at the airport were very poor and you could just wander about anywhere. About 10 years ago I went to Luton Airport to fly to Austria for a skiing holiday. Unfortunately after 36 hours of fog we ... Read the complete review

Nightmares are made of this. I had the dubious pleasure of going through Paris Charles de Gaulle twice and I hope never to have to repeat the experience. I travelled from Munich to CDG, got off the plane and looked for somewhere to change my money to francs. Found one ATM machine with a queue of about 20 people. I decided to walk on further to ... I won't hear a bad word said against it. London Luton Airport is the business. Nothing could be more simple. Alright, so its stretching the truth to call it 'London', but the train there from Kings Cross ran like a dream. Station to station in half an hour (£18 return). Or you can catch a coach from Victoria. Then a ... Read the complete review

Luton Airport is strange compared to the other London airports, i visited the airport Yesterday to pick up my dad from his holidays. Now his plane was delayed so i had to wait which is never really a problem because these things happen. A very pleasant airport to be in. It's not too big, so you can't get lost very easily and there are lots of signs pointing the way. It's kept clean. There're lots of toilets and phones. Plenty of shops and places to get food in the terminal and once you go through to departures there are even more shops, and a Burger King, I ... Read the complete review
