Advantages: Price of parking, airport experience

Disadvantages: Poor acessablity by public transport

First of all London Stansted is not in London it is around 25 miles away from the centre of London. The airport can be reached from the M11 motorway junction 8. The car parking charges is very cheap compared with other airports especially if you book via the baa website.
For travellers using public transport there are trains that go to Stansted Airport its own train station. Trains to Birmingham and the midlands trains are run by cross country. Trains to London are run by stanstead express although it is quite slow for its name. The airport is one terminal with different zones for different airlines, if you are not familar with the zones then it is better to ask someone rather and try to work it out for yourself as this is time consuming. There is one point to access passport control which can sometimes be a pain especially in the summer holidays when there are many people queuing. Just to be on the safe side allow 10 minutes for this. The choices of shops past passport are alright, a few shops that sells perfume, womenwear and electrical items. The design of the airport is also good because it allows a lot of light into the terminal which makes the airport experience.
Although the airport is out of the way by public transport the airport is well designed. I would keep travelling from this airport.
