Malaga Airport (AGP) Airport

Newest Review: ... so we had to go all the way back. We had now spent an hour standing around waiting and got plenty of exercise going backwards and forwards across the airport! Once we had our luggage it was smooth sailing. The main arrivals lobby is large, with an area cordoned off for taxi drivers to wait for their customers so it was easy to find our transfer. It was then a very short walk to the area where the taxis were parked (undercover if it happens to be raining). Then the roads out of the airport were very straight forward and we were on the way to our villa in no time. Unfortunately we would be victim to slow service from the aiport staff on our... more

Well what a disastrous time we had at Malaga airport!! Our flight from East Midlands Airport had been delayed (the fault of the airline) however arriving an hour late we thought that everything would run smoothly once we touched down at the airport. Alas no, it took a whole hour for our luggage to appear on the belt! In this time we did not see one baggage handler or other official to approach. Eventually one of our party walked all the way to the other end of the airport and found a member of staff who told him that our luggage was on a different belt in another section of the airport! As all 150 of us trudged in that direction, someone else came to tell us ...  Read the complete review

Malaga Airport, the entrance to the Costa del Sol. It must be something the Spanish have about airports because Malaga airport is similar to Palma Majorca airport in that you have a long walk from getting off your flight to the baggage reclaim. On your return flight it isn't always obvious which gate you are leaving from, you need to keep an eye on the monitors. It is being extended at the moment so like much of Spain it will be OK when it's finished, as long as the walk isn't made any longer. As with most airports the food isn't cheap, but in departures there is a self service cafe with plenty of seats. Plenty of shopping if that's what you ...  Read the complete review

Malaga Airport is the main airport for the whole of Southern Spain, in particular, the Costa Del Sol. The airport currently handles around 12million passengers per annum and is situated around 10kilometres from the centre of Malaga. It is ideally placed for the holiday resorts of Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella, Estepona and even Gibraltar on the western side and Malaga, Nerja and Granada on the eastern side. Several airlines use the airport with Easyjet and Monarch being among the largest carriers. Malaga airport can only be described as huge. It currently has two terminals in full operation with a third one being built (more about that ...  Read the complete review

I like Malaga Airport. Generally itīs fast, efficient and clean. If arriving it is a bit of a hike to baggage reclaim but the guys with the golfing buggies ( donīt know what they are called but they use them to transport passengers with difficulties) are great. You donīt have to be handicapped or over the age of 65 to get one and they whizz you through passport control, skipping any queues that have formed from the arrival of mornig flights, striaght to baggage reclaim.Donīt forget to give him a small tip, say €2 if youīre just bagging a ride. Baggage Reclaim - I have never waited more than 20 minutes in Malaga and very often the bags get there before me! Iīm ...  Read the complete review
