The Mexico City International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México or AICM), also called Benito Juárez International Airport (IATA: MEX, ICAO: MMMX) serves Mexico City, the capital of Mexico. Although this was not its official name for several decades, it was formally named after the 19th century president Benito Juárez in 2006, and is Mexico's main international and domestic gateway. This airport offers direct flights to more than 100 destinations worldwide. AICM is Mexico's and Latin America's busiest airport, and is one of the 30 most important airports worldwide in terms of passengers, operations, and cargo. The airport, comprises a wide variety of options for passengers, as one hotel inside Terminal 1 (Hilton, and two adjacent hotels: Camino Real, and JR Inn), as another one is expected in Terminal 2.

Cancún International Airport (IATA: CUN, ICAO: MMUN) is located in Cancún, Quintana Roo, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. It is Mexico's second busiest airport, after Mexico City International Airport in Mexico City. In 2005, 9,780,000 passengers used the airport. It is currently the 4th busiest airport in Latin America, just behind Mexico City, São Paulo and Buenos Aires, but it is expected to reach 25 million passengers by 2017, getting to the second position in Latin America, behind Mexico City. Cancún Airport is going through some expansions, including the construction of a new runway and the brand new terminal 3, which is going to be ready by the first quarter of 2007, comprising 12 jetbridge-boarding gates and 4 apron doors.
