One of the busiest, fastest growing airports in the North, this is the biggest international airport any further north than Manchester. Flights arrive and depart on average every 6 minutes, and there is a large range of destinations including many European and American countries. Although flights to African countries are a little thin on the ... Read the complete review

This fairly small airport has a suprising number of positives to its name. Firstly it's got a good number of European bound flights from companies such as easyjet, flybe and british airways. Secondly it's a child friendly aiport for families as there a games zone and great views of the planes taking off. Alternatively couples or adults might enjoy ... Read the complete review

I attend university in nearby Durham, but live in Ireland. Needless to say I fly semi regularly from this airport and thought I would now let potential future passengers know about its pros and cons. First and foremost, I will deal with location. Newcastle airport is situated, like most airports, a good distance outside of the city. ... Read the complete review

Having flown from Newcastle International Airport a few times I wanted to write a review on the airport and it's facilities. Newcastle International Airport is the North East's largest of the two airports that serve the region and has IATA 3 letter code of NCL. With many airlines flying to over 80 destinations worldwide to UK airports ... Read the complete review

I fly regularly from Newcastle international airport and therefore thought I'd review the facilities on offer. I hope the review will be useful! Getting there. ************ Newcastle airport is situated near Ponteland, 15 minutes drive from Newcastle city centre. The A1 links to the A696 that runs directly to the airport. It ... This is not a fantastic airport but I am not complaining because it is great to have an airport as substantial as this in a city as small as Newcastle. There are a few low budget airlines that fly from Newcastle including EasyJet which runs a lot of routes from here which is very useful. To get to London at the moment it is cheaper to fly from ... Newcastle airport is a large airport that is one of the main hubs for airlines such as Ryanair, Easyjet and Flybe. There are more than 100 flights coming and going out of this airport every day, and from this airport, you can go almost anywhere in Europe. However, one of the main disadvantage is that there is hardly any long haul flights out of ... Read the complete review

I travel through Newcastle International Airport at least twice per month, and I choose to use Newcastle as it is run very efficiently. The airport rarely has delays and bags are handled promptly. The atmosphere at Newcastle airport is what sets it apart though, as a fairly frequent flier I'm used to the security procedures, but at Newcastle ... Read the complete review

Newcastle has grown in recent years into a sizeable international airport. It now serves a reasonable number of holiday destinations by chartered flights including all the major Spanish resorts and others like Florida, Cyprus, Italy (Naples), Turkey and a new service to Dubrovnik in Croatia. I have used it recently for a flight to Brussels with ... Read the complete review

Newcastle International Airport is situated just north of Newcastle and it has come a long way since its humble beginnings. The airport started life on July 26th 1935, with a grass runway, a club house, a hanger, workshops, an ambulance room, a hose for petrol and a garage; the initial cost of all this was £35,000. Over the years the airport was ... Read the complete review

Newcastle International Airport is located just south of the City near Ponteland and until a couple of years ago it wasn’t much to write home about, however after a major revamp it ensures a pleasant start to your holiday or business trip. There are two check in halls, one caters for charter flights and the other schedule and ... Read the complete review

In all honesty, if I'd rated Newcastle Airport at the end of 1999 I'd have given it no more than two stars. However, since that time the place has improved-in my eyes at least-beyond all recognition. Time was when Newcastle Airport was a shabby little place with a brance of W.H. Smiths and very little else besides. About the ... Read the complete review
