Newquay airport is a small international airport based around 5 miles away from the town of Newquay and has developed into Cornwall's main airport.

As a student originally from Cornwall studying near London I am a user of the Newquay to Stansted route and regularly use the airport.

The airport is expanding with the ongoing construction of a new building and new routes regularly announced (most through Air South West and Flybe)

The airport deals with a relatively small number of passengers at each time and subsequently finds itself suitable equipped to run efficiently.

Inside the building the airport has a small cafe before check-in and another cafe/bar in the departure lounge.

Something important to bear in mind for those who have not used the airport before is to remember to purchase an ADF ticket; this is a £5 fee charged for the development of the airport; it needs to be purchased through a machine prior to making your way through security.

In summary Newquay is a small airport but manages to run smoothly and provides an invaluable link for Cornwall to the rest of the country.
