On entering Dubai Airport the first thing you notice are the huge clocks. Every other Airport I have been have them yes but they are made by Seiko or similar but in Dubai they have Rolex ones! You immediately think 'wow I have arrived' Dubai prides itself with being the best and quickest Airport in the World. ... Read the complete review

How best to describe Bournemouth International Airport in one word? Tiny. That just about covers it. This is easily the smallest, most compact airport I have ever used, and probably the quietest as well. The principal advantage of smaller airports is that the likelihood of delays is much lower than at a busy international hub – there are ... Read the complete review

Considering the fact that many people fly to and from the Algarve's main airport - Faro - You'd expect it to be a very nice, comfortable airport, with all the correct facilities. Here is my opinion on this waste of space:- CHECK-IN My check-in desk opened 35 minutes late, they have a poor check-in system and considering the ... Read the complete review

And before any of you start to get the wrong idea, I’m talking about only liking items beginning with those letters that can be found at Blackpool airport – namely shops and money - and nothing kinky. I once wrote an op on Manchester airport called “Full of Common Northerners”, but as someone famous once ... Read the complete review

I'm not joking - Copenhagen's Kastrup airport is probably THE worst signposted airport I've ever had the misfortune to land in! Kastrup airport is situated 6 miles south east of Copenhagen on a little island called Amager. The fact that it is on an island makes no difference whatsoever but it's one of those useless little ... In South Yorkshire and the North East Midlands, the former RAF airbase at Finningley is causing a few major disputes. When the RAF left the site in 1996, they handed the land over to Peel Holdings Plc so that a commercial airport can be built. Peel Holdings own the highly successful airport at Liverpool and have recently been brought in to try ... Read the complete review

We recently enjoyed a five hour stopover at Philadelphia Airport on our way to Las Vegas. We had dabbled with the idea of getting a cab into Philly and seeing as much as we could in the limited time available but as we had to clear passport control and then tote our baggage through the airport to check it onto the connecting flight we decided ... Jerez airport is situated in the south-west of Spain in Andalucia, perfectly placed for the dramatic sherry producing countryside of this region. Approximately 50 miles south of Seville this is a very small airport which receives weekly flights from Stansted Airport during the summer season. It provides an excellent arrival point for those ... The first thing you notice about this airport is that you have to walk miles (literally) to the baggage claim (which is something that you really dont want to fdo after flying for 2 hours). However this airport is really modern and there is moving walkways that will wisk you all the way to the baggage claim area. The airport is extremly ... Read the complete review

I have just returned from a wonderful week in Ibiza and I must admit I aproached the departure lounge with trepidation. The reason being I have had many unpleasant departure lounge experiences and I expected Ibiza to be no different. However I was pleasantly surprised, it was clean spacious, and plenty of seating and toilet facilities, I was ... Read the complete review

Hamilton Island is one of the larger islands off the east coast of Australia about a 1-hour flight from Sydney. It is mainly a tourist island based around the one large resort and the fact that it holds a big yachting regatta every year. The island has one airport and this is fairly good as planes as large as 777’s can land on it. The big ... Read the complete review

Well it's certainly large enough to be an international airport. It has all the facilities, but when I was there the only flights were to other US and Canadian (not really international) destinations. I suppose there must be some flights coming in from further afield, but it certainly had everything needed to be a major international airport. ... Read the complete review

I had to use Sofia Airport as part of a ski holiday to Borrovets, On arrival baggage claim was easy enough, but immigration was very unfriendly, as we were channled through ugly booths and snarled at by the dowdy officials. All of life passes through here. In keeping with the rest of Asia Tribhuvan International Airport is a place of contrasts. If you happen to be delayed (likely) you will not be bored. If there was an Olympic event for the worst airport on the planet, assuming Berbera and Mogadishu in Somalia don't compete, then Lagos would be guarenteed gold medal each and every four years!
