Advantages: clean, new, efficient

Disadvantages: none that I found so far

So here I am - in Korea.

Im at Incheon Airport on a 4 hour transit awaiting a flight to Sydney, so I thought I would share some thoughts.

It's bloody big this airport. That could be because it's half empty, and when full if people it will shrink a bit. It's also brand spanking shiny new - and it WORKS!! ( unlike Heathrow last night which, really and trully, is falling apart at the seams) I'm sitting in a coffee bar near gate 59, using one of the free computer terminals. OK - so the keyboard is is Japanese, but it's free. That's free as in doesn't cost a penny ( or even a won, of which there are 1200 to the US$).

Ive had a massage - I went for the full body stretching massage which costs about $50US. I'm now well and truly stretched out to about 7'8" It was 50 minutes of exquiste pain, but all the cricks and crinkles of a 10 hour flight have been ironed out and I'm feeling fitter than I ever have before at an airport. Follow that up with a bit of a sauna and a shower and Im feeling a million dollars!! Just follow the signs to the transit hotel and the massage place is just next door ( there are two of them apparently, but I havent found the second. That might be too far OTT!)

I'm also inpressed that the airconditioning works at this airport. Unlike Heathrow, which has a poorly enforced no smoking policy, they are really hot on it here, but even walking past the smoking room doesn't blast you with a tar fix.

Also a quick word about the airline. 9 If I'm not TOO relaxed on my 6 weeks in Aus I may write a real op on it. The plane was clean, the food was ummmmmmmmmmmmmm interesting, and we got here on time and in one piece. I'm assured my luggage is even travelling with me. I guess you cant demand more than that.

Iwill also write an update on getting too and fron the sirport on my return - Im sopending some time here just before xmas. life is hard......

....

Used this place many times. Definitely one of the best in Asia.
