Advantages: everything you could possibly need.

Disadvantages: For all those smokers out there, there are few areas which are completely sealed off, in a glass room.

After travelling through many an airport in my time I would say this is definitely the best airport. Especially if you have a delay or are stopping and changing and have a long wait. This airport is ideal, not only does it have a massive load of shops to look at it also has more interesting things to see such as a museum where you can wander around without having to put your hand in your pocket.

If you have the unfortunate wait of a whole day, like I did, there is a bus tour that will take you around Singapore, so you can at least get out of the airport- and say you have seen it. I believe that this is also free.

So you can keep yourself entertained all day without having to pay a thing, brilliant.

Finally, if you have to wait around all day there are also excellant facilities for you to have a shower in, and refresh yourself before a possible long journey back to the UK ( if that is to be your final destination!!
