Geneva Cointrin International Airport (GVA): ... imagine this. You are living in one of the financial centres of Europe, which also happens to be the largest European city for Commodity trading and one of the largest for jewellery, and yes, I forgot, the largest in the world for Non Governmaental agencies. You have a great lake, mountains with snow at 1 hour from the City, and...an international airport only 11 minutes by train from the centre of the City. Wo...

Sharrison Geneve-Cointrin Airport (GVA)
... by taxi. Arriving in Geneve is always nice, whether you land during the day or at night, since you are bound to fly over the lake with the spectacular back drop of the mountains. Immigration formalities normally last few minutes at the most and then you are into the lounge where you wait for your luggage. You soon realize you are in Switzerland, the panel tells you how many minutes before your luggage will be delivered. Once you pick up your luggage, you can either go to Geneve by train, the train station is very well signposted, or by taxi. I suggest you take the train, a ride into town takes around ten minutes, it costs less than 3 pounds and it takes you the trai...

Golong Geneva Cointrin International Airport (GVA)
... airport of Geneva is only 10 kilometres away from the centre of the town. It is located on the border between France and Switzerland and in fact it has a French part and Swiss part. The French part only serves national flights, while the Swiss one is a international hub. I flew to this airport both with Swissair and with Easyjet. Arriving at the airport, you walk through the passport control, where on the right you have the queu for Non EU members and on the left for European citizens. Waiting time was 5 minutes. Straight after that, you collect your luggage. It was fast both with Easyjet and with Swiss. You then leave and you will find the taxi rank in front of y...

Pietroberri Geneve-Cointrin Airport (GVA)
... has always been shy to challenge the predomacy of Zurich as the centre for financial activity in Switzerland. As a result, its airport has always been a much smaller affair than the one in Zurich. When Easyjet realized both the financial power of Geneve and its strategic position, a base was installed. Today Geneve airport represents of the European bases for Easyjet and this has driven up passengers numbers. Surely an airport could not be closer to the centre of town. A mere 10 minutes on the train, and you are at the railways station, which is only 10 minutes walk from most everything you care about in Geneve. Taxis can be found at the exit of the terminal a...
