This is a useful budget printer, copier, scanner system. I bought mine primarily as a printer, but has used it more and more often in its photo copier incarnation. As a teacher, I frequently need good quality copies at short notice for my students. The scan bed is of an adequate size (several inches larger than an A4 page) and produces both clear and sharp images. The lid of the scan bed allows for copying from both textbooks and flat single pages by lifting slightly at the hinges.
The print function itself is quick and efficient and on many occasions, I have used it to quickly produce print outs at the last minute and it has always risen to the task.
This is a fairly economical machine, it can be acquired for a low price and although the print cartridges can be somewhat pricey, the cartridges themselves last for a long time. The black cartridges often last a lot longer than the coloured ones. The printer will sometimes sense that the cartridge needs changing long before it really does.

Summary: Overall all, a very useful piece of kit.
