The cartridges included last for a decent enough time but when they need replaced they are not the cheapest to find unfortunatly. The scanner is very high quality, with the user interface onscreen being easy to understand and use. If you scan in more than one image thumbnails appear representing all that you've scanned in, and then it is possible to select the on...more

Premium Review Canon Pixma MP220: The Students Printer... (486 words)
by - written on 23/01/09 (Very useful, 135 readings)
Rating:

I am a student, and decided to buy a printer rather than trekking down to the library every time I needed something done. I decided to go for the all in one approach, as a scanner can come in handy too. This printer has a lot of features to it, as i said, it can scan things, it can do borderless printing and has memory card slots to print directly from them. The size of it is fairly large, however the shape of it is very good in my opinion, as when it is all folded up, it is just basically a solid block, so does not have plastic flaps sticking out everywhere which could be damaged when transporting (especially when, like me, you go to university in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A great multifunctional printer (160 words)
by - written on 28/10/08 (Very useful, 254 readings)
Rating:

My old multifunction printer was too cumbersome and used too much ink. I bought this one which is a nice compact size, it looks good and does a great job. I have so far used the printer, the photocopier and the scanner with good results each time. The instructions are straightforward and am very pleased with this purchase. It cost 39.99 from Argos and I used a £15 Nectar voucher so it ended up being really cheap. The great thing is that 2 cartridges are included too. Argos staff did not tell me about that when I added 2 cartridges to my basket but after collecting the printer, I then noticed the box content and got a refund straight away ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Canon Pixma MP220: A well made product with lots of features and a clean modern ... (421 words)

Rating:

I picked up this printer mostly because it was on sale and I needed a printer and a scanner and this would save me space rather than having 2 units. Also my last printer was an older black and white laser one that still used the big parallel port which my desktop doesn't have. Setup is relatively easy, with the instructions being clear and including large diagrams to follow. Install the ink cartridges that come with the printer, install the software, then connect the computer to the printer and it's there. Printing is fast and clean with good definition and the paper is supported on the infeed and outfeed with fold out sections that mean when you'r not ...  Read the complete review

I bought this printer when i moved back to England and had not yet brought my computer over. So i couldn't wait to try it out. I had some photos from my phone which where on a memory card. I decided to see how easy the print was to use without a computer, sure enough, within a few seconds photos were shooting out of the printer and at pretty good quality, the only thing spoiling the quality was the quality of the camera on my mobile. Now if you are serious about photography and need very good quality printer your looking in totally the wrong category. The build quality of the this printer is of course very good as it is made by a quality manufacturer. This printer ...  Read the complete review
