My old Epson printer gave up the ghost quite a while ago now and as I have lots of paperwork to do in my business so I have to have a printer to use, I replaced it with this Canon MP272 printer.
The thing that I liked about this printer was the size as it's a lot smaller than my old heavy large epsom printer which I had for the past five years or more.
This one is more compact, looks good and is light enough to move around if need be.
The Canon cost me £49.99 from P C World about six months ago and last week when I visited P C World they are on offer for £29.99 which is a great saving and a good bargain as you get the cartidges in with the printer and these are around £18 to replace for the colour one and around £9 for the black one, so your really getting a bargain at that price if your looking for a new printer.
The printer comes in a large heavy cardboard box and is packed well to reduce damage if knocked about when taking it home.
When you open the box and get the printer out it's covered in sticky clear film to protect the moving parts and this has to be removed when setting it up. In the box you get an instruction leaflet and booklet, a start up disc, two cartidges, one colour and one black and the lead with the plug on the end.
You have to buy the USB lead seperately as it doesn't come in the box.
To set the printer up is easy, once you have removed the clear sticky film you can then insert the cartridges and plug in the leads both the mains and the USB lead. Add some paper at the top and then add the disk before turning the machine on.
The disc loads up quickly and you can then follow the on screen promps to get your printer working properly.
This process takes a few minutes to do and then the printer is ready to use.
I found this easy to use as your just folowing the instructions on the disc, once you have done this then you can turn on the printer and your copmputer will find the driver for the printer. It is then ready to print and you can then print files, photo's, pictures and other documents.
The printer is not too loud and I was surprised at how dry the ink was when the page comes out, on my old printer you had to wait a little while for the ink to dry otherwise the page would smudge and you'd have to do the printing again.
This prints a page in seconds rather than mintues and the quality of the print is very good.
You also get a few glossy photo papers with the printer so you can see the quality of the photo's you may print off.
I like this printer and it has been going strong for me for a few months now.
I am happy to recommend it to you.
