Advantages: Quick to print, high res scanner
Disadvantages: Ink can be expensive, so shop around
This is a good printer for home and small home business use.
I have had mine as my main printer for a year or so, and although I wouldn't be without a spare printer for emergencies, the Pixma MP600 is everything I need.
It's easy to use and prints high quality documents and images. The scanner is great quality and will scan colour documents at up to 600 dpi, which gives great quality for any document.
It's also a great little photocopier - you don't have to turn the pc on to use it as a photocopier, and it's fast in colour and black & white.
Ink cartridges are expensive, so shop around. I've always used the genuine canon cartridges (separate for each colour) and they're between £7 and £10 each depending where you shop. They're not available everywhere though - on the high street only PC world have them.
I've never had a major problem with my printer, and I print an average of 20 pages a day with it. The only thing I can't comment on is photos on photo paper, as I use this printer for leaflets and cards only.
Great for a small home business, but perhaps have a cheap printer to hand as back up.
Summary: Recommended for printing documents, leaflets etc. at home. A good all-rounder.
