Advantages: good quality prints and scans, very cheap compatable inks

Disadvantages: large

Bit ugly the Canon but works excellently for me. The large size can make it awkward to place.

Prints acceptably quickly with good quality.

Biggest advantage?

Works perfectly with compatable cartriges from Cartex.co.uk.
99p for black and 99p for colour when you by more than 5 at a time. They don't last long but at that price who cares. Try and get an Epson or HP cart for 99p.

Removable print heads also open the option to repair/replace blocked jets (fixed in Epsons) whilst keeping the cart cost down by not fitting them to each cart (a la HP).

I've had mine for nearly 2 years and it gets hammered by my schoolteacher girfriend. Never missed a beat.

Summary: Extra cheap running costs
