You can reduce or enlarge your original from 25% to 400%, make borderless copies, fit 2 pages on 1, fit-to-page, copy mirror image (for instance, to make iron-on Tee-shirt transfers) and use electronic collating. Now, with a single installation one electrical cord, one computer cable and one software driver - you get three top-quality machines taking up the space of just one. And, the specially-designed, easy-to-use operation panel puts every command at your fingertips. The SmartBase MPC190 offers you resolutions of up to 9600 dpi digital and 600 x 1200 dpi optical. Its 36-bit color depth ensures deep, rich color reproduction and 256 shades of gray to give you clean, clear monochrome scans. With Canon's fast Multi-Photo mode, you can scan three images at once and save them as three separate images. You can then adjust them, incorporate them into documents, or save them to a CD-ROM separately. You can even send each photo individually to your printer or e-mail program. Alternatively, the scanner software can store a multi-page document as a single file. Canon's advanced printer head produces 5 picoliter droplets in every print mode. The high-frequency head ejects 12 million droplets of ink per second, so it covers the page faster. This is an old printer and it shows. it was deisned to work on windows 98/ME and as such xp was an after thought and it takes ages and lots of faffing to install onto xp. I've not tied it on vista or windows 7. The main problem with this is that every time you change the inks you need to check, clean and reset the nozzles and do a realignment of the print heads or two. Then having done that and recieiving a not too bad printout, you are warned that the ink is now low again! Even with all the aligning the photo prints are poor quality although text is as you would expect. the scaned images are fine on screen and email fine, the software that ...

Bit ugly the Canon but works excellently for me. The large size can make it awkward to place. Prints acceptably quickly with good quality. Biggest advantage?
