Advantages: Fast document printer

Disadvantages: Uses a lot of ink for pictures

Knowing what I now know I probabily wouldn't have chosen this printer as it is not the best picture quality for my printing purposes. I am a training photographer and although the quality is good, the problem lies with the amount of ink that the printer uses in large A4 size coloure prints. A Cartridge will only last upto 20-30 prints and only being able to get the ink from dell it is not very cost effective. The printer can print documents in a quick time but photos are slow due to the detail and depth of colour. Not a bad all rounder for home use but if you want to produce photos at a cheaper price I woud reccomend using a more dedicated photo printer for the job. The scanner is quick and crisp at the highest setting and as a copier also not bad quality. An the whole not the best but not bad for the home
