Advantages: Cheap cartdriges, easy to use
Disadvantages: Poor photos' quality, slow
Epson CX3650: its my main printer, i bought it about 2 years ago (and i paid it 50 £) because i need a simple and low price multifunciont printer, because i noticed a lot of times happened i needed to photocopy some documents.. and it was very boring to go out only for this..
Using my cx36500 i can print and photocopy a lot, and i do it: because i need and because i found (on ebay, almost) very cheap cartdriges (i spend about 0.8£ each, buying 30-40 every time)
I think this is the most beautiful thing of printing: when you can print what and when you want, without expending problem and having always new cartridges to use.
This could be "risky" beacuse (in theory) using not original cartdriges warranty is void, but i calculated that saves early are much more then new printer price (this if you buy a low price printer-multifunction and if you have-want to print a lot..) so i suggest you to act in same way :)
One negative (and sometimes bothering) thing is speed: this printer is slow, very slow: i never reached manifacture's declared speed (15 ppm , colours or mono) and when you have to printi hundreds of pages you have to wait hours..
So i dont suggest you to buy this printer NOW: it was a very good choice when i bought it, but not now.
My advice is to look very well cartridges' price when you buy a new printer: as i said if you plan to use it a lot it makes (economical) difference.
I cannot print photos, or better, i could, but quality of printed photos, using CX3650, is poor.. i dont care it because i prefer to order photes printing instead of making them myself, but if you are considering to buy one used CX3650 you have to know this.
Summary: CX3650: read to learn something about this old multifunction-printer

- 16/09/07 I see this machine is in the Telecommunications section, but neither your review or the specifications above seem to say that this functions as a fax. I'll see if I can get it moved for you. |
