All-In-One Printer great for the price (Epson Stylus DX4400)

Advantages: Bargain Price, Nice styling, fairly economical to run only change one cartridge at a time

Like the other users, I recently bought this All-In-One Printer just under a year ago. I was in a supermarket looking for a £25 cartidge for a bog standard £30 Lexmart printer when I saw this little (maybe not so little)beauty by Epsom. I had to do a double take £35 for an all in one? It wasn't miss labeled, and it was the best printer purchase I ever made.

I love the fact that all the cartridges are separate. Yes the black does run out quickly, but at least you don't have to replace half finished colours because the black has run out. The cartidges are really easy to change. No mess no fuss click out the old and click in the new.

Yes it can be a bit slow scanning, but this can be affected by the speed of your computer, so it may not be down to the printer. I didn't even notice the missing USB cable, having gone through a number of printers, I am awash with cables.

The quality settings of the print can be varied according to the purpose, so it is generally good. I have not found th Photo print quality brilliant, but once again there could be other reasons for this, such as paper type and ink typeand the quality of the original photo.

My printer does have one strange quirk. I have installed it on two different PCs. On mine all the dialogue boxes are in English so I can understand when it needs a little TLC. On my daughter's PC the dialogue boxes are all in German. Now I know what you are going to say- you need to select English as the Language when you install it. So I uninstalled it and started re-installation from scratch using the CD. Carefully selected English as the Language. Informed my daughter that I had sorted it out. Demonstrated said solution and there it was -German dialogue box in all its glory. Really weird. It's only a small quirk. Makes life more interesting.

Summary: Excellent value for money All-In-One Printer
