slow and produces good quality enlargements at 200px resolution. One thing that I didn t like is some of the bundled Epson software, if like me you try to keep your computer running efficiently with as few background processes as possible don t install anything but the printer drivers, the other stuff is just fluff designed as hand holding software for less experienced computer users and they add lots of rubbish running in the background. - Please note that you may get better photographic prints from a dedicated photo printer but on decent photo paper I am able to produce frameable quality A4 prints that I am very happy ...

I thought I’d look into what Printers they had. I had a look at a few different brands, compared features, cost of cartridges and settled on this printer, the Epson Stylus DX6050 for about £50. This Printer is a combination of a Printer, Scanner and Copier, it doesn’t have a fax function but I have no need for that as I can fax at work if I really need to. The Epson DX5050 is an all-in-one printer, and therefore it has the ability to both print scan and copy. It functions well at all of these, and purchasing the printer at £40 you can t complain. The print speed is quick, set draft mode it can easily print over 15 pages per minute! However in more detailed modes this speed will decrease, and quite rapidly, it has not been unknown for my printer to take a minute on 1 A4 picture, the picture quality is good, just as long as you can deal with the wait!
