Advantages: Multitasking printer

Ths is my current printer. The DX8450 has many different functions and capabilities including printing, copying, scanning etc. It can also be connected directly to a PC through a cable to that you can simply print off pictures from your PC. The print quality is that of a porfessional printers in my opinion. The scanner is good although this is perhaps the weak area of the printer as some distortion might creep into the end result.

One downside to this printer is that there is no wifi capability. To print from a laptop/pc etc you need to be connected by a cable. The printer does however has slots where you can put in your memory card and it will display previews of any images on its little preview screen to the top left of the printer. This is very useful if you want to quickly flick through to a particular image before printing.

The printer can print many sizes ranging from A5 up to A4. You have the option to even do many prints to one page (say if you want to duplicate a passport photo or business card etc.

The print time is quick except for the settings are at their highest and even then you can expect a standard 6 x 4 print to take around 30 seconds.

I would recommend this printer to most generic home users as it will more than suit their needs.

Summary: A reasonably priced all rounder.
