The Epson Stylus sx210 is a very convenient all in one multi purpose printer which allows you to print, scan and copy. I had another HP printer all in one before but it wasn't as nice looking as this one and was bulkier. I got this one from my university for free, however I have seen that the price is very low for what it does and how easy it is to make it work. Its price is around 40 to 50 pounds. Obviously it is not as convenient nor easy to use as the wireless modern printers you find on the market lately, but at least it is way cheaper and still does all the same things. It copies, scans and prints in black &white and colour.
In my opinion the printer is quite small for what it does, since normally scanning devices are rather big and awkward to fit anywhere. It has a flat top which I always use for putting files to be scanned or books for university as I have limited space on my desk. It has a stylish black colour that matches most technology equipment I have.
The printer is very easy to use. You have to install the disk that comes with it to get the software for the scanning I assume. If you want to scan a document you just press the scan button on the panel and it will do it really effectively organising it on your my pictures folder for you. And if you want to copy, you press the button for that function, and on the screen on the printer you can decide how many copies you want. The stop button is very handy since if you regret any of the orders you gave, you can cancel it quickly by just pressing this button.
A downside I have noticed is that when a cartridge of a colour runs out, it will not print in black and white until you replace that colour's cartridge. I find this a bit ridiculous since I hardly ever print in colour and not having a blue ink cartridge doesn't affect being able to print black writing. In addition to this kind of issue, if you do not have ink in your cartridges it appears to not scan either, something that does not make sense since the scanning has nothing to do with the ink. On top of that changing the cartridges was confusing until I realised you get the tray for them using the software on your computer that tells you the ink has run out you have to click next and it moves the ink tray to become accessible. It will not come out by just opening the lid.
Overall, it is an efficient printer and for a basic student/house use it is enough and I can say it has been really useful to have it.
Summary: very efficient printer!
