Advantages: Good scanner, amazing photos

Disadvantages: Expensive ink

I have owned this printer for a few months now and to be honest its pretty good in nearly every aspect apart from the fact that the ink system is picky and the speeds are not as advertised it is good. This model uses T0711 ink which retails at around £7 for 6.5ml of ink which is just plain expensive but luckily there are re manufactured cartridges which contain 18ml of ink but costs less than a pound each on ebay. The actual speed of this machine is around 12ppm when on normal setting which to be honest is the only decent setting if you actually want to read what you print. The draft setting does achieve 24ppm but be warned it is going to be very faint and hard to read. The scanner works perfectly and the lid itself is heavy which presses the paper down well to iron out any creases the scanned document may have. The printer comes bundled with software which should be avoided apart from the barebones such as the drivers etc. When used with photo paper stunning images can be produced although this does use a lot of ink so be warned if you insist on using original cartridges. Please note that using compatible cartridges do NOT void your guarantee. Overall a decent printer although you may be paying much more if you use original cartridges.

Summary: Good overall but remanufactered may be better for some people
