Advantages: cheep, easily available catridges

Disadvantages: scanner not compatable with some start up systems

When our old Lexmark bog standard printer finally desided to bite the dust after many years of hearty service (being hammered by the children printing off their pictures from the paint tool on our printer) We looked around to see what our best option would be price wise having already chosen to look at an all in one as it would meet all our families needs, we didn't want to go for a Lexmark again as the cartridges were expensive and very few places offered an alternitive. So we had the criterias of Scanner, photocopier, printer to meet but was not overly expensive and easy to get replacement cartridges for. Looking in Staples at the options the HP F2180 stood out as meeting all our needs and was very affordable! Upon using it though we have found that we can use the printer and photocopier but the scanner wont work as our laptop uses the Vista system which was rather disappointing. Otherwise it meets all our needs.
