Advantages: Printer, scanner and copier rolled into one

Disadvantages: No USB cable

After replacing our home computer with a laptop at the beginning of 2007 a printer was not something I thought about until I booked a holiday and needed to print off the receipt and confirmation.
Not wanting to spend lots of money I turned to the Argos to find something and there on special offer was the HP Destjet All-in One.

It was on offer for £29.99 and not only was a printer but a scanner and copier. I think its usual price was £39.99 but I think I would have probably paid that as well for an All-in-one printer. When I saw the printer at that price in the catalogue I quickly went online to reserve it.

In the past two years since I have had the printer I have used in countless times, I wouldn't be without it. I have not had a single problem with it and it works every time, a very reliable product.
I haven't really found the need to do any scanning but the copier is something I use all the time. The quality of the printing is of a very high standard too.

When I first bought it the printer it came with two cartridges, a black one and a colour one. These lasted me ages and when I needed to replace them I paid about £10 from Amazon, they tend to retail in the shops for about £17.99. The cartridges are easy to replace and install, it is literally just a case of taking one out and putting another in.

The printer itself was very easy to install and you just put the disc you're provided with into your computer and it just does everything for you. A few minutes later and it's ready to use. Great, as I am not very good with anything technical.

The only negative thing with this printer is that it does not come with a USB cable, which is what you need to connect the printer to your computer. I think it is strange they do not provide you with one but I did purchase one from Wilkinsons and I think it only cost a couple of pound.

The size and weight of the printer is also really good because we use it with a laptop it isn't left out all the time. Its handy size and the fact it is really light to carry means we can store it in the cupboard and get out when its needed.

So after two years and lots of printing and copying my HP Destjet All-in-One is still a great, reliable product that I would definetely recommend, you don't always have to go for expensive products to get good results.

Summary: A great printer at a great price.
