A superb all-in-one device that has it all (HP Officejet G55)
Member Name: Flyingflea
Advantages: Brilliant colour print-outs, Several useful features such as enlarge/black & white only/photo mode etc., Saves space and well-priced Disadvantages: Ink cardridges cost £24, Doesn't scan or copy anything bigger than A4, Doesn't print on the whole A4 - about 2 cm from outside
The HP OfficeJet G55 is very good value for money (Buy.com sells it for just £268). It can scan, print and photocopy. It scans very fast and is dead simple to use, as well as being remarkably quiet. When used to copy photographs on "normal" or "best" quality on to photographic paper, you honesty can't tell which is the real photo (bear in mind that it can take up to 5 minutes to print in best mode). Everything is scanned accurately, with full marks for colour fidelity. It is also a very good laser jet photocopier which can act just like a photocopier but unlike the bulky machines in office corners, can copy in colour - which it does very well. It prints colour beautifully but isn't quite as hot for text. It can be used with or without a computer and is suitable in an office as it is capable of being shared by several PCs in a network.
