Some features are great, others not so great (HP Photosmart C4480 All-in-One)

Advantages: Good value for money, good everyday printing

Disadvantages: Expensive ink, has issues printing on photopaper

I have owned this printer for around 6 months and overall I am very happy with it. I got it as a budget, all-in one printer at around £50, although as with all printers the genuine ink can be pretty expensive.
So far I have only used genuine ink as I am very wary of compatible cartridges, and I would advise consumers to buy the XL versions of both the colour and black inks. They are somewhere around double the price of the standard cartridges, but they will do between 3 to 5 times more pages so they really are worth it.
The print speed is very good at between 20-30 pages per minute, and the quality is also excellent.
The scanner is great and the software that comes with it is very easy to use. You can save your scans ina number of different formats, including saving documents as PDFs.
One major issue I have had with this printer has came through trying to print photos. I purchased some 6x4 photo paper to try and print some photos, but the printer has real difficulty with this paper. Maybe its because the paper is stiffer, but almost everytime I try to print there is a paper jam. Considering this product is meant to be a photoprinter, I find this to be a major design flaw and its completely inexcusable.

Summary: If you don't intend to print photos its an axcellent printer
