An "all-in-one" printer, in other words the C5380 contains both a printer & scanner that feels better made than some of the budget printers around these days. Printer features I like: The printing head is incorporated within the ink cartridges. This has the advantage that over the long term the printer will not suffer from a clogged or faulty print head maintaining excellent printing results. Two covered trays that can be left loaded with A4 paper and 6x4 paper ready for snaps. Compact and enclosed design, perfect for a dusty bedroom! Five colour cartridges, or should I say three colour and two black (containing different types of ink for pictures or text) give excellent quality prints. Not tested but includes a tray to enable printing directly on to suitably coated CD/DVD's via the supplied software with limited but sufficient templates. Built in colour screen enables control of scanning and printing from the built-in card readers though one may as well instead use the more versatile HP computer software to control or edit pictures for printing and scanner settings. Cons: No cable is supplied. Long initialisation ceremony when first switched on i.e. a lot of clicking and whirring goes on before it is ready! Huge software installation. Small ink cartridges and may be more expensive than competition inhibits me from rating this printer with five stars.
