When I first bought this printer I was very happy with the product. Cheap initial price with included ink. The ability to connect to my laptop via WI FI and the realtively cheap price for Kodak inc when I ran out. although if you don't have WI FI its up to you to find your own connecter cable. However after owning this printer for about a month the cracks began to show. My printer would make random noises and 'going to sleep mode' sounds in the middle of the night, sometimes days after I had last used it.
I have also experienced alot of trouble with the quality of printing. Sometimes, for no apparent reason,my printer would sound like it's printing the ink o the page but my paper would come out blank. (Even though I had plenty of ink left)
Although the ink for Kodak was cheap compared to other brands I was not tempted to buy another kodak when after only a year my printer stopped working altogether. Reports from friends with different Kodak models reported simmilar issues so I stayed away. I paid that extra bit of money for a better quality printer and so far no problems.
I've had my Kodack ESP C110 All in one for about 18 months now and I'm very pleased with it. I got it at the same time as my new laptop because I was improving my Tech for the business. One of the things that made me go for it was the cost of inks, I'd had a HP printer before and needed a mortgage every time I had to get new cartridges!
The quality of print is great for a relatively cheap printer, I use it for invoicing customers, sending quotes and general printing and I'm always confident that the quality will give a professional image.
It also has a scanning/coppying plate - very useful. Once you've loaded the software onto your PC this feature can be used from the control panel or from the screen on the printer but the later is a bit difficult because the screen is quite small. The scan and copy quality is good and you can set it for colour of black and white.
I would have liked a feature that means you can print on both sides of a document without having to turn the paper but I suppose you get what you pay for.
I purchased the Kodak ESP C110 all-in-one recently for a great price.
Similar to other all-in-one's it contains a printer, scanner and copier and all of the features work excellently.
I primarily use it for printing and it hasn't let me down so far. The main thing that attracted me to this printer was Kodak's cost effective ink.
I haven't actually opened the spare set of ink I purchased with the product yet because the printer is utilising the test cartridges that came with the product well and never has any waste.
The device has a small screen used for copying but I haven't had to use the screen at all as the device is basic enough to use with buttons. All of the printing is done through the PC so I actually haven't had to use any functions on the device itself apart from the copying which I tested once.
The scanner function is really good and the pictures and documents that I have tested are very clear and without blemishes.
The installation of the ink was a little weird though. With the ink you must plug the cartridges into a plastic "head" which then fits into the carrier in the printer which left me a little confused for a few minutes as to the use of the "head" until I read the instructions that came with the device.
Overall I would recommend the printer even only for the low cost of the product and the inks which are excellent quality.
