Most red colours turn out pink, and bright blue turns out wishy washy, even though I always buy the proper Lexmark colour ink replacements. I've had this printer for several years now. When I first bought it, I was very please and sustained a habit of printing off anything and everything. This soon stopped when it came to buying replacement ink cartridges- they are ridiculously expensive, and I cannot understand why Lexmark continues to charge such high prices for ink compared to companies such as Epsom. Having used other printers, I am now also aware of the poor quality of the colour printing that this printer produces. This is a terrible printer. I have owned one for a very long time and have not replaced it because it at least still prints in black ink. All over the internet I have read posts from users with the same problems with this printer. It does not print color. It does not print black. It does not print at all! I have tried everything from cleaning every part, to running the program maintainance 25 times, to uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and even trying multiple versions, to putting the cartridges in hot water, etc. The printer has been DISCONTINUED and rightfully so! I'm the first to write an opinion on this so here goes. The Lexmark X1150 is the complete all-in-one printer, scanner, photocopier (both colour and black & white) and fax machine. While you may be thinking this product would be very expensive, it is certainly not. It is very affordable at £59.99 and you can get it from a wide range of online retailers and mail order catalogues.
