This printer has been an absolute lifesaver throughout my degree. As I near the end of my studies I will review the most reliable piece of electrical equipment in my life.

This printer originally cost around £35 when I bought my desktop computer 3 years ago. I chose it because it was on special offer, and had a scanner inside it as well.

The scanner is brilliant, there dont seem to be any scanners for music students, so I and many other students have used this great feature in my printer. For all my practical music exams you have to provide copies of your music to the examiners. Now Im not going to queue in the library for an hour to wait whilst people photocopy whole books. So I just sit in the comfort of my own home, and its loads easier.

Its so easy to use the scanner, you just put your A4 piece of paper in between the flap that lifts up on the top and the scanner. Then press the scan button, it instantly sends the image to the computer. From here I then either print it or save it for later.

The print quality isnt amazing, or very quick. It does however print off whole essays without complaint, and doesnt get over awed like the uni printer which has to print so much that it just stops and then there are loads of students stressing because the printer isnt working and theres 10mins to the deadline.

To change the cartridge is very simple, there is a colour one and a black one. You just lift up the second flap underneath the scanner and pop them out.

The cartridges are expensive to replace, however I have only had to replace them twice, as they seem to last a long time. I didnt use colour printing for so long the cartridge actually dried up.

If you are a student and you need a scanner, or simple to use printer then this is the best one in my opinion. It prints off essays, it all closes up nice and neat, and sits quite happily on the floor working perfectly.
