Advantages: Good speed and quality - printer, scanner and fax all in one.

Disadvantages: Cost of cartidges - can be more than the printer cost!!

An excellent all round preformer. Good as a home/small office printer. Funtionally rich - offering printing /copying and faxing. Well designed for ease of acces to the relevant parts - scanner/copier, paper feed,and ink cartidges. Simple and elegant layout with minimal added "bits". only the buttons required to switch on and make copies on the user panel.
The user interface on the PC is good. Allowing access to all the functions and settings required. There is a visual status of your ink cartidges showing the levels of ink.
You can also access the coper function without using the PC - place your doccument on the flat bed scanner and press the copy button it is simple as that.
Installing cartidges and replacing is a simple process. where you click the cartidge in and lock it down - it's even colour coded so you can't mix up the colour and the black cartridges. Cartidge cleaning and alignment is easy with the on screen tools.
The only real downside is the cost of replacement cartidges - they cost more than the original printer did!! I would recommend trying to refill the cartidges - al;though this can be a tricky and messy business but is financialy worth it. An other gripe is the position of the USB cable connection - it is a bit fiddly but once set up should be ok.
I had some "fun" setting the printer up to work with Windows Vista due to driver problems, but once this was sorted the printer worked like a dream

Summary: Good performance and quality , but ink is expensive!!
