I brought this all - in - one scanner a few months ago, this is the second Lexmark I have brought, the other was about 6 years ago, and that was a great printer, which I had no problems with lasted me a long time. If you find space a problem, then here is the solution for that tight computer space, the Lexmark X1270 is the answer, it has got two seperate lids, one for the scanner and the other for access to the ink cartridges, the lid for the ink compartment lifts onto a hinge, which means you dont have to fight with it to get the cartridges in.
