Advantages: Produces great results, good software bundled

Disadvantages: Expensive cartridges, large / bulky

I bought this printer along with a computer from PC World in 2003. It was quite cheap; however be warned, the cartridges cost about £40.

The machine looks quite nice, but is large and heavy.
Installation was a breeze, and I was very impressed with the bundled software, especially the ABBYY OCR software, which converts scanned documents into texts documents (e.g. Microsoft Office Word documents). The machine connects by USB.

The printer produces excellent results, both for text and photo, however is quite slow, so if speed is what you are after, this is not the machine for you.
The scanner is great, and produces nice results. A useful feature is you can press the 'Black Copy' button and it will 'photocopy' it for you. Very useful. There is no need to have a PC connected to the machine.

Overall the Lexmark X5150 is a good printer and scanner combination, however it is let down by the excessive cartridge prices and the fact that the machine is larger and bulky.

Summary: Good all-in-one

Unfortunately, this product is in the wrong category since there is no fax and should therefore be in the computer section with the other printers and not here in telecommunications. I'll ask DooYoo to move it.
