Civilization I is a DOS-based strategy game. Civilization is a turn-based strategy game that spawned a series of games, such as Age of Empires, that till today facinate the most strategic-minded gameplayers. Essentially, the game starts in the year 3000 B.C. with up to seven civilizations spread across the world. I have been playing Civilization 2 for ages now and I can't say I am tired of it. Several new related games have come out in the meantime but this original version is still my favoutite one. Basically you can chose which civilisation you want to represent and start building your empire. The only downside is it can take some time to get your civilisation up and running. Once things are on the go it can be very very enjoyable. You have several "routes" you can take. You can opt by living in peace with your neighbours and rely on cooperation to advance in the game, or you can take the war route and do everything by force.
