Advantages: Well it's my opinion
Disadvantages: Same as the advantages
well nobody seems to have written an opinion about actual games consoles, so here goes..... I personally started out with an old spectrum computer, which of course was primarily used for games, it was very very basic, with pathetic graphics, but what a lot of the games had was addictive gameplay, which I think is the most important quality in any game you play, you have to want to keep playing, it doesn't matter what the graphics look like, if the gameplay is rubbish you aint going to keep playing. A lot of consoles keep going on their reputations, for example Sega have produced the Master System, followed by the Mega Drive, followed by the Saturn and so on, Nintendo have done the same with their consoles, each time supposedly bringing out a new and improved model, naturally they have more or less kept the same customers who have been happy with their previous offerings, but does that happiness continue, or like me do they get blinkered by there great love of past consoles and think, hey they made my favourite console how can I desert them now, and keep buying from the same company all the time?. I guess the point I am trying to make is a simple one: it doesn't matter who makes the games, it doesn't matter how good the game looks, it doesn't matter how fast the game plays, the main point will always be how addictive and how much fun you can get from the game, and in my opinion you can get addictiveness and fun from any games machine, and that includes those produced 20 years ago.
