Advantages: improved speed and graphics

It's an upgrade for your N64 console promising enhanced graphics and if you haven't got one yet then it's definatly worth considering.

The amount of games which support the pak is ever increasing and it seems this wasn't just a trick to get you to part with more cash. I've used the pak with a number of different games and although it can't improve the gameplay it does wonders for the graphics. The pak doubles the memory available to the console and allows it to handle much higher resolutions and higher speeds. The advantages are clearly seen on multiplayer games where normally the reaction time would suffer, instead the gameplay runs the same speed as the single player game.

Turok 2 was one of the first games to take advantage of the extra power and it was outstanding how much sharper the graphics became. It does what a 3DFX card would do to a pc but very much cheaper. If your still playing your N64 but want to make it that little bit better then you should definatly get one
